I have been blogging for nearly 2 years now and it was the Catholic community (nick-named ‘st blogs’) that got me started. there is a web-ring (click the link at the bottom of my blogroll for more info), a virtual parish hall, and even a fairly quiescent parish cookbook. He has spoken many times about the need to use technology to evangelize and preach the Gospel. Not all lay groups/activities get canonical aproval which basically means official recognition and other things I don’t understand. Most don’t. I did hear somewhere that you are supposed to get the local Bishop’s approval for anything that uses the word Catholic in the name. Not sure if that is true, but I suppose I should check it out. 🙂
